Can anyone recomend a product that will break down/remove gluey substance from the surface of an inflatable dinghy?

Recently purchased a boat along with a Wetline dinghy where the 'wetline' badges stuck to the dinghy (inflated chambers) have detiorated to such an extent - in the sun and weather, that they now exude a sticky-ness, that sticks and ruins everything that it comes into contact with. Riddiculous really and very annoying!!

Some of these removers actually contain strong solvents like MEK. I would try turpentine or white spirits as it shouldn't harm the dinghy .... and wash it off with a dishwashing detergent afterwards.

Evostik remover is mostly toluene, a solvent recommended for cleaning Hypalon prior to patching. One problem is the stuff will escape from its tin over time so you think you have some in the cupboard but it's all gone when you get there.

Sticky Stuff Remover

Have tried many solutions to OP problem on new boat. My answer is 'Sticky Stuff Remover'. Cost around £5 for a spray gel (so no running). 10 year old marine stickers removed with small hairdryer, old plastic cup hooks, various internal stickers, 2 day old white masking tape (hairdryer, b***tard gunge). Works very well and worth every penny!
(BTW have been using green 'Frog Tape' masking tape. Expensive at about £4.50 but you get what you pay for. This stuff can be left on and leaves a clean edge)
