Claymore\'s Monthly YM critique

What a jolly family afair it is this week with the compliments of Libby and Paul - do hope they send us all a Christmas card

We herald the second coming of the Twisted One blethering on about a Lotus Elan

Gratifying to see that Claymore's Boatshow 03 purchase of an Echomax has been deemed a sound investment - thats the first time I've ever bought anything thats been rated in a magazine - bit of a waste of time really as its never foggy off the West Coast and if it was we'd be parked up out of harms way in a remote aquatic lay-by.

The bow fitting on a Dehler 34 doesn't seem to be up to much

Old Cunliffe's turning Sager by the month

I had thought of writing up Ra Chentlemans Cruise but it would probably end up on the editors floor on the grounds of the vast majority of readers not being able to understand it - anyway, that line of journalism got impeccable coverage on the way to Cherboug and I couldn't live up to that standard

The next little gem was from a female who wanted to be average, like our own beloved Stugeroneone . Surely its just that sort of stuff that puts Emily Pankhursts mission back by decades?

Finally there's the bit about under mattress condensation stuff which is wonderful as I was going to buy some at the Boat Show but I got lost in Excel and never found my way back to the stand.

Re: Claysie the YM slave

eh? - wot about the Fenderstep you bought and went on about for three seasons? I think that you are secretly a total mug for anything recommended in the magazines. Mind you, i'm a mug for anything even half-recommended here, so at least you're being a bit discerning...

Oh - I forgot about Fiona - but she didn't get herself onto a comparison thingie with a gold triangle saying YM Recommended or whatever.
Jimi interfered with her strap last time he was on her and she hangs a little one-sided now.

Re: At least you have a copy....

I changed banks recently, and my new bank sent me a list of all those to whom it had sent amended direct details, which included the YM subscription service. Unfortunately, the YM office was amongst those who couldn't be bothered to complete & return the paperwork so my subscription has been unilaterally terminated - they didn't even send a warning/reminder. Unimpressed.

Re: At least you have a copy....

Well - I got YW on subscription at the boat show a few years back- which I still receive. I also get YM from my local newsagent and he tends to get it 2 days after the subscription copy comes out. I also like supporting a local trader.
