Claymore bows out

Usually when people say this, I think, hey ho. But, strangely, I find myself hoping that you're not being entirely serious.

Predictions

<ul type="square"> 1 - Simon will continue to post his forecasts, complete with links to his commercial site;

2 - Louise, having reflected upon the kerfuffle that her comments have caused will take no action; and,

3 - Scuttlebutt will continue to self-moderate with a fairly relaxed view of the rules, but with its usual modicum of commonsense and decency.
[/list]
And, if I've got those predictions wrong, I'll see you all at Blue Moment. Byee....

I think your jumping the gun a bit here.I wouldnt be surprised if there isnt some sensible compromise reached next week .

Sorry you are leaving but I think you just might be right along with the fact that it is now totally impossible to use the search facility! I thought that this was possibly the most valuable piece to these forums.

Before posting, I always used to do a search and see if the topic had been discussed within living memory but now it won't even find some posts I have written within the past year.

Yes it will find 'some' but certainly not all and further more, you lose the context as you cannot see to whom you posted the reply.

The complete forum set up is now a load of drivel, worst than appalling.

I must admit, the only thing that has made me stay here since Christmas is the return of the indomitable "trouville" and his trials and tribulations.

What with his Folkboat being left in the Baltic, lack of laptop computer, losing his trousers in the Med and now the problems with a lee rudder?

Ach! wur fair scunnered ye'r awa. Maun ye gae, wull ye tak a wheen o' yer greetin auld chinas wi' ye?.

Come on man. You're 7096 posts ahead of Louise.

Perhaps she has a bit of catching up to do.

Maybe post #3 will be an apology? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

With regret -
I've enjoyed my time here, thanks for your company and the times we've had along the way.

I appreciate moderation - not stupidity.

Very sorry to see you go old son !

And if you don't mind, I would like to join you too.

There are just too many posts full of needless unpleasantness and aggression. I'am sure many people feel the same way .

I still hope to post on PBO but I fear it seems to be going the same way.

All the best.

May I say,in the sunny light of a new day, that that would be a loss indeed

And urge you not to.

Unless you are merely intending to take up a very early station at your Hitchhikers- guide- to- gentlemans- cruising rendezvous ?
