st.maarten - st.martin classic yacht regatta 22-23-24-25 January 2009
I am lucky enough to be on KATE as crew.
Have just been advised that the crew is now comprised of :
Philip (Capt'n)
Doug G
Ben & Nikki (Ben's girlfriend)
Two females (Doug G has never met them)
So, three males and three females.
I wonder :
1. Who will end up doing a lot of the (boat) work?
2. Will my 'pass' from my dear wife to go on the Regatta be revoked? (I know that she trusts me implicitly) greenie
3. What will be the sleeping arrangements? :geewizz:
Kate (the yacht, not another female) has a double berth forward, four narrow single berths amidships and two quarter berths in the stern.
I normally sleep on the cabin sole as this minimises any rolling (by the yacht) or on the cockpit sole (subjected to rain
) in the open. The deck has a bit too much camber to sleep safely.
Suggestions please!
4. Should Endy of Colne have accepted an offer to join as crew?
6. Should I post pictures?
Look forward to your advice.
BTW the pic is taken on Kate in early morning with temp circa 88ºF
