classic yacht insurance [again]

thought i saw a post here a few days ago about no survey required insurance. key words n.r. and west indies and greece i think. can't seem to find it. or was it elsewhere ?

There was a post on Scuttlebutt a few days ago about Northern Reef insurers, who apparently don't require survey. The general theme was that the premiums may be cheap, but they seem to have a long history of not paying up in the event of a claim.

Don't touch them with the proverbial barge pole.
GJW Direct are reasonable insurers. If you are laying the boat up for repairs/refurbihment they will insure it without a survey, but it must be surveyed once work completed.

Norther Reef sounds too much like another major national institution for my liking.
