No comments needed, just trawling through the interweb and found a company that is doing the most wonderful work by bringing these old Mercury ToP's back to life..... I think I would sell a body part for one of these.

indeed, just imagine the pair fitted to a lovely classic and the noise at full throttle, it would be exquisite ! and, even in todays standards... blooming quick! :D


...you would want them set up very well.... pull start... that would be knackering if you had to do that for a few minutes before they came to life! But I guess if they look that good on the outside, the insides would be pretty well sorted! They had a fully restored red band 135 TOP short shaft for sale for $2950. Absolute bargain IMHO.

thanks for all this, yes it can be hard pulling me Merc 500 when it does not start by the second pull, can you PM or post the the engine site link.
