Sad to report the passing of AHK Lane (Ken Lane) fomerly of Louly, L'Esgargot of Hamble(akaTarquol) and more recently, along with myself, Sonny.
Quite a CV of classic motor boats; RIP Dad.

Sorry to hear.

He'd have been pleased to know that both Tarquol and Louly are very well kept boats currently.

Thank you.
My late father was aware of the fine restoration of Louly carried out by her present owner. They were in touch with each other; culminating with father having a trip around Torbay some 4 years ago.
I had also alerted him to the equally impressive condition of Tarquol.
I recall seeing a photo of both boats together at sea not long ago.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Sounds like he had great times on board some much loved vessels during his lifetime.

Thank you.
Yes, indeed he did and l was very lucky to spend a lot of my childhood aboard these two great boats, especially as at the time we had our own private mouring just up river of Anchor Stone. A few doors up from the Ferry Boat was home too. I well remember Mum and Dad buying the cottage and the mouring was inclusive....a good deal indeed that was thanks to my hero Ernie Lister...he was special.
