Classic Boat Magazine - is it really so hard?

I only bought the March edition because I wanted to read about Seanick's cover story (and very interesting it is too and I might even try to blag a sail on board at Yogaff this year....if you're reading...)

I dont generally buy the magazine as my primary interest is in motorboats and there is little coverage, odd given that the longest thread on here for months is the motorboat thread.

As a motorboat fanatic it makes me feel as if the motor boat articles are token gestures to those of us persuaded by internal combustion.

In the first few pages I find a snippet on the purchase of HSL102 and MGB81 by the Portsmouth Naval Base History Trust, which has enveloped the British Military Powerboat Trust, from the chap that rebuilt them Phil Clabburn. In my mind Phil is an absolute hero of motorboat restoration of this sort of craft.

Such a great shame that the picture is of MTB102...

I should think the MTB102 trust might be a little miffed.

Just ploughed through the last 6 months of CB (donated by a friend) and like you, sad that there is so little on motor boats.
Lovely as the Trad' sailing yachts are there are equally beautiful motor boats/ yachts.

I spotted MTB 102 in that photo. I remember when I first saw the RAF launch in the Solent - I thought they'd painted MTB 102 black. Confused old country boy abroad but worked it out in the end ... eventually. Hundreds of people called Clabburn in this part of the world - they're everywhere (and related). O.F.
