I've noticed there isn't much activity on this particular forum. Should I be logging in to a rival website/forum somewhere else, or do 'classic' boaters just not bother?

Cheers
Chris

Re: They are many, we are few!

Mirelle,

Feeling guilty now - but I've really got to get the kitchen finished!

(Well, after I've checked out the link you suggested...)

Cheers

Judge us not by our quantity, but by our quality. If you want quantity, check out the PBO forum; they have lots of quantity. The content is just rarely relevant to the kind of boat that I sail.

I don't wish to judge anyone, old fruit. Simply looking for a more communicative classic boat community on-line - to help broaden my own horizons.

The wooden boat forum is good but takes a while to get into it and accepted by the users there, a bit of it might be happening on this forum as well, keeping everything in house as it were, and close to the chest.
I have several queries that have not been answered and feel it might be because I am new to the business of boat restoration and repair.
But it does seem to get better with time and the info is very good value as the guys here and across the pond know their stuff!
regards, harry

An alternative cause for no reply is that no-one else knows the answer which you seek. I don't think that it's any sort of clique-ish-ness [an awkward word, but I think that it carries my meaning].
