I can't see the advert, but she's in the US and there are many such yachts on that side of the pond; every time the exchange rate swings favourably I idly scan Yachtworld to see what's on offer, but invariably when the fagpacket calculation is done it never makes any sense. Once you add the cost of a transat delivery(even DIY to reduce cost will be unlikely to be less than £5k once you factor going out to do a minimal refit on safety critical systems, provisions and equipment for crossing and 2 months off work and however many flights to/from the US), wrangling with the VAT man, pondering the philosophical value of CE status, and the embuggerance factor of the above, the vendor would have to give you the boat for it to be worthwhile.

47 year old boat. It looks pretty tidy but they are chainsawing much younger boats due to the oversupply.

Price is about right for a boat like that in turnkey condition although at 6'6" draft she will be hard sell further south. Some Brokers will not list anything over 6' draft.
