Utterly embarrassing twaddle for anybody with a clue about boats/handling... This lot are sometimes fun. Not on this occasion. Avoid.

It's on Amazon Prime. You can't miss it if you have Amazon as it's on the front page.

I watched it last night and it was interesting in places with some amusing facts and anecdotes but they should stick to cars in future.

I felt a bit sorry for the 1930s wooden launch being abused (though in the event nothing too serious happened to it) but otherwise I quite enjoyed it. If you were expecting a skilful demonstration of responsible boating I fear you may have misunderstood what the Grand Tour is about.

I enjoyed the show for what it is - three blokes having a laugh on an adventure - they for one don't take it seriously and I do not think for one minute the audience do either. They've been crashing their cars into each other on similar trips for years. Don't think the public take much notice of that either other than laugh!

I'd love to know how they kept those big gas guzzlers full of fuel...... Glad to see they didn't disappoint and played Fortunate Son.

SWMBO and I watched it last night and enjoyed it ...she chortled away quite a few times, more than on the car ones.

I also enjoyed the travelogue aspect of a part of the world about which I know very little but has become very popular for the more adventurous tourists

Yep, OP, you totally missed the point. Whilst there was perhaps a one-off opportunity for Captain Slow to have a blackboard boringly explaining how he was going to spring off against the tide using propwalk to assist and ferry glide across the river or something using the correct sound signals, watching boats being perfectly handled would be as exciting as Clarkson demonstrating how easy the Porsche 911GT3RS is to park and seeing it drive round at 29mph in a 30.

It was much more entertaining than I was expecting, and I actually really like Clarkson when he does the "serious/history" stuff...he's very genuine and compelling. The cultural stuff was also really interesting too...some of the traffic on the river was pretty crazy!

My only minor possible beef with it...I'm fairly sure at the end when they were out at sea, I saw Hammond's killcord just dangling from the console on the Scarab, and at another time Clarkson had it round his wrist rather than his leg.

But it was good fun...glad to see them back!

I agree I "missed the point" in some respects. Clarkson and his pals are quite entertaining much of the time but it just hurt to see boats mishandled. Especially the venerable wooden beast.
