Clamp a hose on a grease nipple ?

Grease nipple on the top of my quadrant is now working again.
But the access is rubbish.
I may be able to fit an M10 1/4 UNF hose tail into the existing quadrant.
Edit hm, where do i find one of those ?

But it would be far simpler to just extend the nipple with a hose and clip, is this likely to stay on ?
Or is the pressure of the grease gun way too high ?

How will you know if the grease is reaching the quadrant or if you are just filling up the hose or pressuring its contents? could you replace the nipple with a spigot and then fix the hose to that?

There are several options that allow you to lock on to a grease nipple and have a remote hose operation.

Trying to mackle something up with a hose and a clamp is not likely to succeed long term.

But you need to find out what type of grease nipple you have

The pressure exerted by a grease gun is, or can be, pretty high.
So the hose might not stay on.
The hose would also tend to expand under pressure and eject grease when you disconnect from it.

If you can find out what the thread is, then extended grease nipples are available.
Also angled.

k, tnx all, i had a 45' nipple, now straight.
the amazon one would work as i can tighten than with one hand, guess that is strong enough to stay on long term ?
the cromwell connector has two parts that need to be screwed together ? which is not possible due to access issues.

The Amazon hose fits onto the grease gun, you can't leave it in place, you'd have to unscrew it from the grease gun and grease would go everywhere.
