Clacton Air Show, Friday 26th

Had a rare day off on Friday to visit the air show. Was a lot of boats anchored off Clacton and i'm sure we had a much better view than those on the beach. Highlight of the day, for me, was the Lancaster and the two Spitfires, fantastic.

Shame about the Romford Navy on their jet skis.

The Romford navy were buzzing us as we were trying to raise anchor and the windlass had jammed, so I radioed the police rib and asked them to help , they seemed rather pleased to get involved

So many Merlin engines produced unyet so few remaining, same can be said of the airframes that carried them ?
