CJ\'s got a new boat

Whoohhhh.

Offer accepted and now (subject to survey) I can look forward to my new (2000)
Targa 48, white hull, with everything on. (If owner reading this I think we did a good deal for both of us)

been out tonight with staff for christmas so completely pi_s_d but got the message at around half five that deal was done.

Must publicly thank TCM and Mike F for all assistance and support during search.

Have so much missed visiting Marina to check lines and seeing grubby stains mainfesting themselves on gelcoat.

Thanks again to all on list for support during period of unboatedness.

Looking forward to seeing you guys, on the water, or B4

Re: Eh? Right boat wrong place

with four school age boys and living 20 mins from Salterns, Studland, and surrounding areas, including West country trips and channel hops, Brownsea etc, taking six of us on flights to the Med is not an option with school, travelling to airports etc. I work full time but can get to the boat most days and we will use the boat a lot. We use our boats with friends and family so what we have bought is a bit more room to do exactly what we did with our V40.

The funny thing is that five years ago I did'nt even want a boat!

Re: Powerboats in the BVI\'s

Urgh, I wouldn't recommend a targa 43, or any planing boat: the BVI's is the perfect place for sailing boats, cos there a solid force 3-5 from the east. Sometimes southeast, sometimes northeast. But lots of waves. If you must have a powerboat, there are "trader-style" boats. try using google for Virgin Traders?

Re: no, not windless

um, its ain't windless in the BVI's. Heard of the Trade winds - so reliable that you can trade along them?

nonetheless, try

Re: Powerboats in the BVI\'s

I spose its a bit like traffic calming, the more difficult it is the more carefull you have to be. I am not aware of too many incedents and to be fair a lot of boats dont actually move enough to hit anything.

Its well protected with the high walls and buildings, but what we like about it most is the setting, and the fact that I can park the car with no problem and walk 50 metres to the boat.

Re: Deals off

Chris

Hard Luck.

Makes me feel better though, I thought that I was a Jonah as people like JFM go out and buy boats in 39 nanoseconds from viewing to completion.

You and I can have a race...and it would be a fool who bet on the outcome !
