It all started two months ago
having spent the winter doing maintenance the plan was to take our Binnie down to the draw dock by the Isleworth slip
The plan was to clean the hull tidy the prop up fit a new transducer etc.
So miniskip are away that sunday at sparrows with the right tide you can go on the hard am and off again pm the same day
Soon she is started and we are away around the corner is the draw dock and soon we are moored and waiting for the tide to drop.
About an hour later she is on the hard
As you can see some of the hull has already been cleaned
soon Miniskip and I are at work
The work swings along the hull is soon nice and shiny
I tackle the task of fitting the transducer and tidying the prop which is a bit battered
With the work done for the day miniskip and I sit there with a well deserved Pint me cider and miniskip Coke with lots of ice
when the tide is high enough to take here back to our mooring disater strikes the engine starts runs for a bit and stalls I turn the key but all I get is an horrific grinding noise
so now we are going nowhere with this I remove the starter to find its bell housing in two bits
The only thing we can do is leave her there until we can get a new starter
Part two will be coming soon
