I’m unexpectedly going to be at a bit of a loose end this year over Christmas/New year and being 'boatless' wanted to know if any forumites had some suggestions?
Sailing somewhere warm like the Canaries would be nice but cost is of course an issue - the budget is quite stretched at the moment.
Some thoughts I’ve had are:
1) Bareboat charter somewhere but all my friends are doing the ‘family’ Christmas thing so suggestions where to find other people looking to share a charter would be useful.
2) Tall ship crewing in the Canaries or elsewhere, I’ve done quite a lot of sailing on the STA Schooners in the past.
3) Are there any sailing schools operating over the Christmas period? Maybe I could refresh my YM which I got flipping ages ago?
