Brother-in-law treated me to a years subscription. Makes a change to get something useful instead of the usual ephemeral tat.

Last year i was buying the same mags now and again, but to be truithfull there is nothing in the mags for people with smaller sub 20 ft boats, i dont classs mine as a sports boat but more a cuddy, this year so far i have brought zero mags becuase of the rubbish in them and then endless amounts of advertizing, unless your lucky to have 35 to 100 ft boat then it will appeal to you.

The sports boat magazine was another load of rubbish, half the time it had no bases to sports boat other than skiing equipment and toys, now and again you even had PWC includded in the mag:confused:i brought it once last year and after a few days of reading through it i though what a rip off, selling selling. wont buy that again.

I hope one day they will bring a magazine out for power boaters and base it repairs, upgrades, servicing, GRP repairs, trailer upgrades and moding, adding basic equipment, make the magazine more pratical, to be honist how many of us have a boat and are allways tinkering or repairing how many of us have work needed to grp.

There are no mags that cover this area, im not moaning just magazines lately have got really rubbish in my opinion, they dont fulfill what i think they should do.

Have you tried Practical Boat Owner Mark? I must admit, on the odd one or two occasions I bought a copy I let it a bit too saily-boaty for my taste. It's full of how-to's, upgrades, and that sort of stuff.

Hi gravygraham yes i have tried that mag but yet again i found it was more for sailing it did not fullfill what i wanted to see or read in magazine that i was going to spend £4.95 every mounth, for this reasion now i dont buy them, i may go in to a shop and quickly skim throught the various newly released mags to see if there is any thing of interest, but it gets put back.

I can see why there are various mags getting stopped.
