Buy her something wonderful to wear - but not her size..

Take it back after Christmas and get a refund.

Then buy the same thing in the right size for half the price.

Get that essential bit for the boat with the difference....

Bet your an accountant

Hubby buys pressie. Wife returns it to buy what she really wanted in the first place for twice the price and then some.

I think I can see a flaw in this.

Buy her something too small, and...

"I'm too fat for you, am I? This is a hint I should diet, isn't it?"

Buy her something too big and...

"Is this how fat you think I am?"

Can't win either way.

Probably best to buy the wrong colour.

Problem is, I really rather like my SWMBO, so would really try to get a present she really likes, and in the right size, hopefully both at the same time.

Me too (mine, not yours/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif), but if you think you've any chance of mananaging this, either your good lady is a lot more accomodating than most or you're a very unusual male.

Personally, I've given up on buying clothes for mine. I give her a budget (joint account & CC) and she goes out & gets what she wants. Not very romantic, I know, but it suits us both.

Well then I won't read any of it, so there.
It is the women's advice you really needed here. I guess., 'cause I haven't looked /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
