As bonfire night is almost passed I was thinking about my Christmas List and wondered if anyone any experience of using image–stabilised binoculars on board? Are they more effective than non-stabilised versions?
I bought the canon 10x30 IS model, perhaps the least expensive of the stabilised ones and cannot rate them highly enough. Although not of the very very expensive waterproof variety, they survived a night out in the rain. You can read boat's names from afar....the stabilising is stunning. Wouldn't be without.
