Hello again, have renamed and issued this post again on the advice of some of the regulars.

Been registered for a while now and reading and digesting info on the forum and enjoying banter, jokes etc.
Now I have my first questions that I hope you can help me with please.
We are currently moored on the Thames and are on the waiting list for a mooring in Christchurch (April, fingers crossed!), we are antifouled for fresh water. The new mooring will be near to the town quay in Christchurch which I guess would be mostly fresh water however we will doing most of our boating at sea.
Is there anyone from the forum in the Christchurch area?
What would be the best antifoul to go for and what is the advice regarding which type of anodes should be fitted?
Thanks in anticipation

ditto. We're in Rossiter's and never had any problem with fouling apart from a little slime on the waterline. We use Magnesium anodes rather than Zinc, though I understand we could use Aluminium on fresh water.

we just bought a boat that has been in fresh water all her life and the general opinion is that as long as she has antifoul then it doesnt matter.
paint companys like others try to frighten us.
slap on any antifoul plus hot curry powder and away you go..
