Very nice trip to Christchurch on Sunday. The River makes a pleasant spot to while away a few hours watching the antics on the shore and river:



Only thing with Christchurch is the almost complete lack of visitor facilities.
You can moor at the Captains Table hotel if you are a client. The Christchurch sailing club seems to have a single visitor pontoon that could take two small boats....but try getting on that in a mobo!
And Cristchurch Quay, where we were in the picture above, which is about 20ft long and dries on springs to a stony bottom.
Having enjoyed a recent trip in the Falmouth area where every destination had at least a few visitor bouys available it seems like the locals have missed a trick here.
There is an anchorage option just below the town but it dries and is very shallow at the best of tides.
Anyway it was a good trip!
