Very nice trip to Christchurch on Sunday. The River makes a pleasant spot to while away a few hours watching the antics on the shore and river:

Only thing with Christchurch is the almost complete lack of visitor facilities.
You can moor at the Captains Table hotel if you are a client. The Christchurch sailing club seems to have a single visitor pontoon that could take two small boats....but try getting on that in a mobo!
And Cristchurch Quay, where we were in the picture above, which is about 20ft long and dries on springs to a stony bottom.
Having enjoyed a recent trip in the Falmouth area where every destination had at least a few visitor bouys available it seems like the locals have missed a trick here.
There is an anchorage option just below the town but it dries and is very shallow at the best of tides.
Anyway it was a good trip!

It was our first visit this weekend, we stayed at Elkins as we had friends who keep there mobo there. They draw 4' 3" so are restricted by the tide but they love it there. I think we'll be back soon too.
What time did you arrive and depart? We got to Mudeford Quay about 17.30 on Saturday and passed it about the same time Yesterday
