Choosing engine mounts

I need some practical advice from the mechanical experts.
Looks like 1 or 2 of my Nanni engine mounts is toast, the brand name on the original is “Novibra Silent mount” but these are not available locally. I can however get engine mounts made by Vetus which are classified according to how much weight they can bear but I don’t know what capacity to buy . The engine weighs about 350 kg do I divide the weight by 4 since it sits on 4 mounts, this capacity about 90 kg each or do I get each the ones rated with 350 kg each ?

By max load of each mount. Note do not assume that the load is distributed evenly. The rear with the flywheel may be heavier than the front of the engine, or the mounts may not be evenly distributed around the COG. e.g. the rear mounts may be forward of the bell housing. This can become more complicated with an attached gearbox.

They all have something called a "Shore rating" and it is essential to get the correct shore rating as well as the load rating or your engine will barely move and your new mounts will not last, or it will vibrate like hell.

You need engine model , Hp and height of engine bracket over engine bed. You don't want the bracket to be at the highest pint on the stud its better to shim up under the mount.

On replacement you will probably need to realign engine.

I second this. I used them when I replaced mounts and they were extremely helpful. Their mounts are well priced also.

Just to update our guys, I contacted a professional and after giving him some specs he calculated that I needed 150kg pair for the front and 230 kg pair for the rear engine mounts. I have installed them and will keep you guys posted.
