Last season, I noticed that Dogdays' steering compass is not working reliably any more. Not that it gets used much (at all?) in anger but I wouldn't want to be without. The old compass is a Urania Riviera Genova but they don't seem to be readily available in the UK.
Anyway, after reading this thread, I think a conical disk would be better than flat and this type
better still to give a choice of sitting or standing and still easy to read.
It will be mounted on top of the Whitlock steering pedestal. The base is about 170mm diameter. Ideally, a fitted cover like on a Plastimo Olympic 135 would be good but they only come with a flat disk.
What do you recommend?
Incidentally, the boat is a35' AWB, Nordship 35 DS.
