choice of classic yacht

Choosing my 1st classic. Have not decided which type. Will do a lot of single handed sailing initially south coast. Then over to Brittany in a year or two. Looking for low maintenance initially but a lot of character. Thought about bilge keels but not aware of classic options. Can anyone offer some help.

The venerable Mr Peter Gregson at Wooden Ships will give you sound advice . It will be more far more impartial than you might expect from a broker.

Lots of Maurice Griffiths are bilge keelers. Try and find some of his books on ebay a many of the better ones are discussed.

There might not be too many classic bilge keelers around but you may find something with bilge-plates.
My Hillyard has 'em. Golden Hinds also.
