Wondering if i should begin making baggywrinkle for the new boat, i noticed that most new boats dont haveit??Is it a lost art? should i open a baggywrinkle/rope fender loft??

Is this a missed market chance for plastic baggywrinkle imported from China? What about plastic authentic look fenders for MOBOs to give them at least touch of boatiness??

Why not plastic Baggywrinkle or plastic rope fenders? afterall a lot of fenders are just plastic blowup ones!

yup.
front
back
2 corners as the back that get rounded with use.
a front that gets more pointed with use.
some bits that you can loop a rope over after about 5 attempts.
know some knots that are great at holding the boat but crap to undo again.
the white sausages are great to bounce the boat off.
have I missed any /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I don't understand. You're obviously a very nice person so - why aren't you a raggy?

Just this week the Skipper said I have to go on a 'how to make baggy wrinkles' course. Apparently as female crew it's my job!!!!!! (sounds a bit sexist to me) I know what they are but how the hell do you make them? Apparently we are going to need them. Looks like it might be a bit like pom poms............... any old scraps of wool going spare?

PS Presumably if I wait long enough i'll get some of my very own anyway?

At sea somewhere.
Baggy wrinkles are made from lengths of old gash rope. You need to have a traditional 'laid' rope for the easiest ones. Try a web search and I'm sure you'll find a method described.
