chimney deck flange

Hi Guys

Got a second hand solid fuel heater for the cabin. Did not come with flu or deck flange. Any thoughts on how I cen fit it in the deck? Got to be insulated and got to be very water tight and ideally any top section of chimney should be removable and the deck fitting plugged.

I had a similar problem with a gas flue through a timber deckhouse, I got a flange/pipe made up in aluminium large enough to take the flue with a gap for insulation around it. It worked a treat and didn't set fire to the boat and the BSS chappie liked it as well (he complained about the previous owner's original attempt). The outer sleeve was taken up to the underside of the terminal of the flue to prevent water ingress.

i've just fitted a taylors diesel heater with thro deck flue . very tidy deck fitting which i mounted on a hard wood base.
