Childrens Wetsuits

They grow out of them so quickly. Does anyone know of a firm which deals in second hand suits or is there any member who would be interested in the sale or purchase of suits suitable for children between 7 and 12 years?

I know they're not very local to you but when my kids were small we used to deal with Devamarine in Anglesey, they had a scheme for trading in kids wetsuits as they grew and you could either buy new or secondhand.

They have a website now so you may be able to arrange a deal by email and post.

Our kids always wore wet suits with velco shoulder straps, which then extended the body length for next season. The last resort was to cut down the legs so they became 'shorties'. This way they wore them out rather than simply grew out of them and the wet suits were consequently reasonable value for money.

We used to buy ours from the local water- ski / windsurf shop who usually have budget lines available. As you are in Devon is there a surf shop nearby who may have ex hire suits for sale?

Many thanks for your replies. I have now found that my local canoe shop in Exeter has a good stock which they take in part exchange and then sell on.
