I posted some questions about training last year and if I remember correctly the Chichester Maritime correspondence courses were rated highly. I'm just about to sign me and the missus up for the Yachmaster course and wondered if anyone had recent experience of them? It's 245 quid each, less 10% for bookings of 2 or more.

well recommended. i did that. You can take the vari-speed option and do it in a couple of weeks (or (i think) as much as a year), rather than grind along and wait for each section one week at a time.

Excellent course. Very good course material written by Sue and her husband, and he has animated parts of it, which makes it clear and easy to understand.

Sue is a great tutor. Response times when you send in material very good. You download course in chunks, read through, then do work at your own pace, then send back answers when finished.

I couldn't agree more with the praise for this course I did my Yachtmaster Theory last year and all aspects of the course were excellent.
The lessons and assignments were very high quality.
I did really understand it all at the end too which is always a bonus.

How's the boat going? Are you still berthed in Shamrock Quay? If so, next time your around pop in and say hi, I'm now running the sea school above the Waterfront bar/rest. 1st floor! Blue door at the end of the walkway.

I will call in and see you over the next couple of days.
I still need to sort out the L2 with you.
Have fun.
