I think thats what it's called!

Went to a couple of marinas today, looking for somewhere to put our boat. For lunch i had their stilton and beefburger burger.

The burger was thin and too dry, the roll could of done with a couple of minutes under the grill, and the coffee still had undisolved granules on top! Instant coffee, sheesh!

As the chap we asked about haviing a berth there was not gifted in the art of customer service we then went to Peurto Solento and was very happy indeed so am waiting for a call tomorrow!

You should have gone to the yacht club's restaurant there at Chichester instead ... as you were looking at the Marina from a potential customer point of view I am certain you could have sampled their food & environment, which, as a visiting yachtsman rather than a member, I have always found to be hospitable and the food tasty. The club is undergoing renovation but the kitchen and bar are working fine and are very popular.

There is a long and honourable tradition of postings about the Spinnaker on these boards (try a search) and, in one case, things got so contentious that the post was removed. They mostly revolve around the attitude of the Landlord/Manager who is not always as friendly and welcoming (particularly with kids) as you'd think he might be towards his customers. We have experienced this at first hand and vowed never to return until it changed hands.

Food, on the other hand, has always been described as quite good, but it sounds as if that's gone t*ts up now, as well.

You talk of the Spinnaker however the 'restaurant' and I use this word very loosely, by B A Peters chandlery, actually caters for the multimillionaire's who browse these monster Farlines, with instant coffee? I have never once been able to pluck up the courage to sample any 'food' in there.

Not the place to find service with a smile. We were greeted with the words 'What do you want?' We explained that the 4 of us would like to eat there to which his reply was 'Well have you booked? My kitchen staff can't be expected to know how much food to prepare if people don't pre-book.' Funny we thought that was what eating establishments do! Recommend Yacht Club where we were warmly welcomed and food was excellent.
