I want to arrive about 1800. Will the seagulls be swimming or walking?

Tides look moderate at the moment, so arriving 2hrs after LW I would have thought would be fine.
Assuming you keep to the blue bits, it’s just the final approach to the waiting pontoon can be shallow.
Low springs are not so good.

I’ve never run aground near there, but don’t cut the inside corners of the turns. Some of the marker posts are there to deceive.

Agreed. I HAVE run aground in the approach channel, on a rising tide luckily. Draft 1.7. I love Chichester, it's a revelation compared to some places I've been.

The last time I did the Kids Out thing, the kids mostly drove the boat once we were out of the moorings, under close supervision. I have no idea if I was meant to allow that or not.
Also, doing figure of 8's at East Head can be a distraction...

I'm annoyed that I won't be able to be there this year - boat will maybe be launched next week.

I always let the kids that can take the wheel. Autopilot “assistance” or not depends on their capability.
