There is a new threat to the harbour; the conservancy are alarmed by plans to allow building development within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty under the National Planning Policy Framework.
Up to now the Conservancy has always had a say in developments, but now there is pressure to provide housing in places thought safe ( rather than use 'brown field' sites, presumably that would be too much like common sense ).
The Chichester Observer is running a vote in conjuction with the Conservancy on whether people are upset by the idea of Havant style estates on green fields by the harbour;
