after persuading my brother to buy a little Cap Camarat last year for some inexpensive boat fun, he is about to take delivery & he planned keeping it at Chichester Drystack (in the old Northshore yard), but their website has been down for weeks and phone off so we assume they have gone pop..anyone know?

It maybe because Southerly has started production at the yard again. Just a guess though.

Hi,

Southerly yachts are now built by Discovery Yachts Group in Marchwood all the tooling for all Southerly models is located in the Marchwwod yard with several gorgeous new Southerly's in build.

I don't know anything about Chichester Dry Stack, but I believe it is run by one of the various tenants (Jon Philips?) occupying part of the yard.

Northshore itself operates as a shipyard handling all the usual winter storage, repairs, refits and upgrades etc, so has the facilities for craneage, and a boat lift. Northshore do not offer drystack themselves. They are definitely not building Southerly yachts, they do have a brokerage service which is I think called Southerly Brokerage.

Only know this from visiting the Quaterdeck Cafe (another tenant) quite regularly - They serve great coffee and cakes!

I Have also popped down to Marchwood a few times, as a self confessed fan of Southerly, but they do not have a cafe on site, so no cakes

Hope that helps
