There are very good moorings in Chichester and the Solent at reasonable rates, some with very good facilities, if you know where to look.

I have a little glass fibre pram dingy which with me has had a knock about life.I found it almost 30 years ago in a briar patch near some moorings.All there was was a glassfibre hull with all the wooden framings rotting.
I stripped it bear and added watertight seat/lockers mirror dingy style and painted it.
It probably cost me about £30 in glassfibre tape resin and exterior ply.
It has been left pulled up on beaches for months on end with no value to a thieve but of great use to me and has been used in our garden as a play boat by my grandchildren.
