Chi Bar - Ebb Tide, SW 20-24 knots

Didn't manage to get any photos whilst coming through sorry!! Fantastic (well I enjoyed it, but SWMBO didnt!) sail in under full main and genoa ... a couple of mini broaches - nothing serious /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ... 7 knots through the water most of the way surfing down the waves ... then got stuck between two waves - top of the front one was above the bow, and the stern was a little taller ... stuck with it for 15-20 seconds ... and got this:

Pity the GPS only showed 6.8 knots at the time /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Ah - no ... hence the MAX in the speed section ... I was just enjoying the moment!! I promise I'll try and get some photos next time ...

oo .. could get the Cruising Chute up too then ... might make it to 11 knots next time!! Although I think we'd've laid it over with any more sail up - not at that point, but during the two mini broaches ...

Not had a problem since we replaced the ST50 tridata (which failed) and then had the whole lot replaced after a lightning strike ...
The only "issue" we get is the regular clogging up of the log - which I've now started taking out when we're not onboard ... except I forgot yesterday before we got off ...Doh!
