Anyone travelling to/from Penton Hook may find this helpful:

A320 Guildford Road in Chertsey closed, delays and the road surface is in a poor condition in both directions between Sir William Perkin's School and the A317 St Peter's Way junction, because of a burst water main.

Poor condition - there's a massive great hole in it! Big enough to swallow a BMW saloon!

The words were not mine but cut and pasted from the BBC Road Warnings website.

The road in question is part of my normal route from home to Penton Hook so I hope they sort it PDQ. As it is also a main access road for St Peters Hospital I am pretty sure they will!

See how convenient Bray is now?

Made the BBC London news. A mate drove through it on his Lambretta just before the BMW disappeared. Delayed trauma forced him into the pub last night. Not wishing to see a man suffer on his own I had no choice but offer my support. Probably won't get over it just yet so having to pop back there tonight to make sure he's ok :p

Hear Hear! Audi and BMW drivers appear to be the most discourteous around, although Audi appear to be taking the crown more recently.

During my 40,000 miles a year private and business motoring all over the country, I notice they rarely thank you for allowing them to change lanes in front of me on the Motorways, they frequently pull out in front into insufficient gaps, and then tailgate the poor sod in front.

Strangely, Mazda 6 drivers, although there are not many of them, are viciously bad, hogging lanes and preventing me from overtaking!

Strange...

So that's why the road was closed this morning. I turn right at that roundabout on my way to work. I'd wondered why Green Lane looked freshly swept but slightly mud-coloured!

What car should I be driving to get a good reputation.

That was due to a lorry accident & diesel spillage... apparently the tailback went as far as Godstone & took 2 1/2 hours for people to get through it.
