Capitanary is now in a portacabin, Showers are in block near visitors pontoon- Free and hot.
I'm stuck on the drying slipway, I replaced cutlass bearing and got the propshaft thread distorted because the hub puller wasn't centered when I pulled the prop!
The nut won't go on now without cross threading.
I could be here some time!!!

you'll probably need a new olive whilst you're there ...

do you intend to do all your maintenance in Cherbourg? ;)

Problem (what problem!) now sorted.
Cherbourg is a DIY desert, had to go out to Tournaville to a Bricodepot - same as B&Q to buy a triangular file. Sophisticated tools such as taps & dies for what is probably a 20mm D Whitworth thread stand no chance of being found, let alone me explaining in pigeon french what I'm after!
Accastill Diffusion were very helpful lending me a prop end boss to test for size, which I used to confirm that I had filed all the distortion out of the prop thread.
When it went on smoothly, I tried mine, which I had scraped away the cross in the thread. Mine now went on but it was still very tight on the thread, so I bought the one that the chandler had lent me.
I will head for Poole Thursday, even though there isn't much wind forecast, before the northerly sets in on Friday and makes for a miserable crossing.
