Rumours are confirmed that Cherbourg Marina is closed to visiting boats from 25th April to 17th May whilst they have a big multihull race. Since I had seen nothing in the yachtie press I emailed them for confirmation which I have just received. Very considerate of them not to notify the UK press and/or yacht clubs etc, this has the makings of chaos! I was however told last night it is on theb RYA website so they knew but apparently have not spread the word very far - how many look regularly at their site.
