St Vaast berthing discount

At last I have managed to get St Vaast to offer a discount BUT ideally they wanted 15 boats which I doubt we can do buit they will accept a smaller number of boats for Friday night at 50% discount providing ALL boats pay on a single payment. Max 3 night.

So could we make an effort to support this gesture.

Can you PM me if you intend to go to St Vaast and I will collate the berthing fees and see everyone on Friday night and make the single payment for everyone.

was thinking of making a late bid to join you, but see windguru giving 25-30 knots from the North East (right on the nose for us, plus would generate an intesting wind against tide situation off the cap) so will forgo it this year. have a good meet though.

Weather

I have used Magic Seaweed a lot tghis year and found it quite good with predicting wind direction and the UPPER likely wind strength.

For leaving thursday overnight to St Vaast it gives a max of F6 NW so a nice broad reach and hopefully a fast crossing and returning Cherbourg to UK on Sunday a max of F4 NW.

Hence I expect a F5NW going over and F3 on the return.

On cruises like this though every skipper must make his own judgement on the likely weather and the suitabilty of sailing wrt his boats capabilities and the crews experience/comfort.

If SWMBO was going I would prefer not to be close hauled.

Spreadsheets

I have a few more e mail addresses to send out the spreadsheet.

Can no longer do this from work as they have included Tiscali in their chinese walls.

Should send these out tonight - last night I was too busy sleeping with a new young girl - before all your minds work overtime it was my new grandaughter Layla!!

Errr, how are you going to get a high pressure to the north of us to produce a NW'lly??

I think Sailfree is going to the other Cherbourg ... either that or he needs to calibrate his compass!!
Every forecast (including MagicSeaweed) that I've seen has NE all weekend.
