I am really pi**ed off. I have spent nearly all day phoning round trying to buy a car. All I want is a 5 door Landcruiser to tow KELISHA. Spoke to loads of main dealers, now they are all phoning me back saying they have all found the same one - Black, good price (sounds just what I want).

Trouble is they have to buy it from the "network" and expect me to committ £500 deposit and if it conforms to the description then I have to buy it. So if I decide to go ahead with this idea and I think it's cr&p for the year and they think its OK what happens then..... they have my £500 notes.

Annoyed or what ....................

tell them to shove it! that's the problem dealt with! now if you had my problems....

my wife right .. stood in front of a full length mirror yesterday morning... she says " oh! i hate getting older... i think my boobs are saggy and getting smaller... should i have a boob job done?"

me being generally uncultured in the matter suggests a holistic approach, and tells her that every morning and every evening she's to rub toilet tissue between her boobs.

she asks "how can that possibly work?" i said "dunno.. but it's worked on your arse over the past few years"

hope this helps, just can't tow with it, regards. steve.

What about this then. Tutts has suggested going down to Plymouth TOMORROW.

Mr Moore has ordered his Polo Shirts and should be the first to get them.
That is of course apart from me. I'll get mine first probably on account of not being able to help it much!

No one can force me to come here-----------

Ian,
Just a thought but why don't you find out which dealer is holding said black Landcruiser and get someone from the forum top check it out.

Looked on the Toyota web site and found the car but it wouldn't tell me which dealer had it.

Thats absolutely outrageous! Guess it must be a sellers market for secondhand landcruisers. I'd not buy it on principle I'm afraid. I can recommend an Isuzu Trooper as a towcar - I have the 3l diesel auto and tow a 2.5tonne RIB & trailer combo. Isuzu dealers don't play the same kind of games!

And be cheerful - I'm flat out on my back with a slipped disc so no boating for me for a loooong while :(

i have a Renault dealership and sell alot of cars this way, as long as the ground rules are laid down first there is no problem. get all the information ask them for a full description, they should already have it, if not they can get it .you want to know about every mark or blemiish inside and out that way you can build a picture of the car first. i usually call the depot where its at and ask someone to walk around it while im on the phone giving me a description as they go. I can source all makes of vehicles but had a search around could not locate any Land cruisers im afraid. do have a discovery TDI fully loaded 99 T 25000 miles.
