The fees in Marina Hercules, Ceuta now have additional charges.

The transit rate is now subject to the addition of 1.88E for electric (fair one) and 3.75E for water.....whether you use it or not. Shoves the bill up by nearly a quarter.

I reckon its a bit cheeky. I feel a pointless talk with the marina manager coming on, but in the meantime this week I filled my tank, washed the boat down twice and had a 20 minute shower!!!!! :D

Yes I had a full water tank and protested to no avail.. They do have to make their own water in all fairness.. Gib charges by the litre for the same reason.

Marina Bay charges 1p a litre, minimum charge a quid. Nothing, naturally, if you dont use it.

This new Ceuta charge is a bit OTT....I use the visitors berths there for an overnight stop probably between 20 and 30 times a year. Thats a big surcharge for something thats been free (if you dont actually use any water) as I have been doing lots during the last 12 years!!!

The Ceuta boatwash is now open!

I'm sure when I stopped there in jan those charges were on my bill. I questioned them as I was only staying one night and my tanks were full from gib. I'm sure they said it was part of the bill. Put me off going as it put the bill up by 4 euros I think.

We ended up staying 2 nights which put the bill up to 8 euros. Bit of cheek if you ask me.

We was there on a Friday night to, big mistake, noise from the club next door and beer bottles thrown next to the boat. No security as such. Nowhere near as nice as el jebha!

In no rush to go back!
