We are in Porto returning to the U.K. we need to checkout. Our options seem to be Vigo or La Coruna are there any others?

If we go to Vigo which is the nearest marina to customs Or better still is there a customs dock we can stop on to check out?

Border checkout in A Coruna is very simple, friendly and easy. About a 20 min walk from the two main marinas. Closed from midday Friday to Monday. I can’t vouch for Vigo but I understand that the checkout is also in town, so a taxi ride from Baiona.

If you’re coming back via France, and you’re not brushing up against your 90-day limit then you can squander 3 days of your time allowance and checkout of Europe in Brest instead. In this case, no need to checkout in Spain. This is what we did.

Yes, no need to check out if you're heading for another Schengen country. Also met someone who was refused exit stamp from Cascais as they were heading for Canaries, still in Schengen, despite being at sea for 5 days en route. They changed their plans and set off for Cape Verdes with exit stamp but had to divert to Canaries due to 'unforseen circumstances'.
