Interested you think SP is better. I've always used WEST just because that's what I started with and their user manuals are excellent. But I'm always willing to try something new. Apart from the price, why do you prefer SP?

I guess my experience is the other side of the same coin, I started out using SP and have tried West but always go back to SP. It is probably just familiarity...
I am used to the way is mixes and know just how much of the various additives to throw in, I think it is a tad more forgiving of low temperatures which is important at this time of year. The 106 is also quite a bit paler than any other resins I have come accross, so getting the right final colour is easier.
