cheap yacht charters over christmas/new year

Hi,

Thinking of taking my girlfriend away this christmas/new for say, 5 days sailing somewhere.

Anyone know where I can get a good deal to charter a yacht?

Anything to save costs, 30ft 1980's yacht would do. Even private, have charteredvia sunsail, neilson and own a 38ft yacht here.

I would guess that pretty much everywhere will be expensive over Christmas, and especially plane fares to get there then.

Barefoot Yachts in St Vincent have a 32' Beneteau from 1985 for US$ 1,820 a week in the winter - not cheap. http://www.barefootyachts.com/html/yachts.htm
And plane fares from UK to the Windies then are extortionate.

BVIs for sure...luxury yacht , Rum Punches etc, pays dividends.

Flights weren't cheap, but a few years back hired a Bav 36 out of Aukland, and spent Christmas at Oneroa Bay, Waiheke - beautiful having Christmas dinner at restaurant overlooking anchorage
(Mind you we'd spent so much on the flight out the presents were wrapped versions of things we had brought out to use anyway)
