I have used the shake hands knot, to lift the back of a steel barge in a lock to paint the stern. It does not jam and is a fast to knot as a shoe lace. it will not shake loose.
How about using it to make soft shackles with a short length of line. the shape of the knot is important, to undo break the back of the knot and it opens very easily.
