From essex boatyards.

2003 Sealine S38 Hull problem £Very Cheap, 2002 Sealine C39 Hull problem £Very Cheap (Ask to speak to Nick/ James about these 2 boats)

Makes you wonder what the hull problems are. Insurance write offs?

I have a friend who bought a new S38, it was one of the first off the production line. Sealine took it back due to hull problems. Lovely boats though.

Hmm, this seems to be a bit of a recurring theme with Sealines. I know of S23s and S34s that have been affected with 'hull problems' too.

I love the C39 though... it's on my 'When I have a £150k boat budget' short list.

Didn't SonVida have issues with his hull on the C39 and have to make repairs prior to selling it? Also didn't Powerskippers dad have issues with his hull on an S34?

Of course Sealine are a large builder and produce many craft every year so a few are bound to be DUD by the law of averages...it just seems that Sealines are more prone to being Dud's than many others (or more noticable)

Cheers any way Jez!

Apparently not - it was 23 degrees in Goteborg this week. I did pass on the complaint from the forum that there was no bow totty. Now who says the marine industry doesn't listen /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Davido,

So not a Dud at all! Owch...I bet the owner didn't half cry! There is an Arvor 215 on the site as well with a gouge in the roof! Seems they lifted it into a bigger boat or dropped an outdrive on it!

Cheers

Yes it's true I'm afraid. We had a crack along the chine on the port side.

Surveyor said "first place I look on Sealines S38 & C39"

C39 is in Finland now and for sale again I believe.

I am not one for gossip but was having this discussion the other day on this subject, seems that sometime ago one boat was that bad with cracks after a voyage it actually sank the crack was the entire length of the boat, it was then taken to the factory and smashed up into pieces and disposed of in a skip.
This info came from a friend whos friend held a managerial position at sealine some years before the yanks took over, he also commented that he thought they were loosing there way.
This is only what I heard and have nothing to back it up so sorry to all sealine owners.

It was dropped forward if that makes sence they estimate 5-10k to fix.
Asking price 120k which sounds cheap but if their estimates of repairs are conservative and it ends up at 15k its only about 20k under current boats for sale.
