I need to stick some wood to gf this w/e and I'm miles from the nearest swindlery. Also as it's for the tender so I don't want to spend loads.

Is there an equivalent to Sikaflex or 3M polyurethane adhesive that I'm likely to be able to source from a building supplies?

Ta,

There is a new(?) Evostick adhesive (whose name I can't remember;- the knees are supposed to go first) which claims on the cartridge to be the strongest glue available and sticks anything to anything. Full of scepticism I used it to glue a piece of scrap stainless to a piece of UPVC. They are inseparable and I can't clean off the screwdriver I used for application.

Available in all building supply outlets in North America ...used for construction and especially for deck, where it is claimed thepolyurethane glue holds in icy and wet conditions .... brand name PL 400 construction adhesive....just about inseperable when applied to wood and metal and only equivalent to 2 pounds for a one litre cartridge for a caulking gun.

Not seen that here.

Anyway, found Sikaflex EBT in my local Travis Perkins.

Looks identical to the marine Sikaflex - but roughly 1/3 the price. Certainly up to the application I'm using it for. Chances are it's identical - but a tube of glue at £12 is likely to stick to the shelves at a builders merchants.
