Cheap monocular/binoculars...great for pics from phones

I take it that your phone doesn't have a zoom facility.

Phone is a Samsung Galaxy S2. The pictures can be zoomed-in, after capture...but using the digital zoom to enlarge the image prior to capture, causes a really inferior final picture, which can't be usefully enlarged...

...whereas, using the little monocular adds range to this tiny camera, but still allows the final pic to be zoomed massively on the PC with good definition...up to a point.

I quite often taken pics with my basic camera through my bins.

Results can be varied.

I reckon it makes a great extension of use to the basic phone-camera, as long as it doesn't have to require you to carry a lot of fragile, heavy, awkward kit around...

...hence I like the tough, cheap little 10x monocular.

I haven't tried photographing through one of those massive 120x zoom spotting scopes. I get the impression it's a work of diminishing returns...a much bigger scope doesn't necessarily mean a much better or closer image.

Dug out my nice old 7x50 binocs today. Awesome Zeiss lenses. Clarity, brightness, broad field of view. Makes my £8 toy look exactly that...cheap.
