Having had to replace a light over a bunk I went into the local chandlers and was horrified at the cost of lighte in general and LED lights in particular. Bought one of these mail order:-

quite flimsy and lightweight but as all I do is switch it on and off at just over £10 it's good value. This one has white or red LEDs (it's a two way switch) and as the chart table pulls out over the bunk in question it's a good idea. For reading the light is quite cold but as it's not a main cabin light that's fine.
Obviously not for the saloon of your Hallberg Rassy or Oyster, but if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg these are fine.
