I know there's no such thing. However, I am soon to leave on a long trip across and around Ireland . Any suggestion of Cheaper fuel locations in UK or Ireland would be appreciated. Is fuel cheaper in Southern Ireland ?
thanks

Green, agricultural diesel, can be purchased at many marinas and rural service stations and use is legal in yachts.
Its use is allowed for non propulsion, heating and battery charging etc.
You are required to declare any propulsion usage at the end of the year to revenue.
This is a very much a self policed system for sail boats, I,v never heard of any spot checks to date.
See the Irish Sailing Association website for more info.
Enjoy our great hospitality.

I dont know about southern ireland but we filled up in bangor marina on our way into belfast last year & they ask you what "split" you want 60/40 being the norm in the uk but we were advised by a couple of local owners that they declared 95/5% & had never been challenged so we just followed their lead

maybe there are cheaper places available but if you want the convinience of a marina its still a saving

belfast is well worth a visit if your going that far north & moorings in the city are fairly cheap just next to the titanic museum the open topped bus tour round the city is very enlightening & definately a must see

enjoy
