I have just managed to source some really cheap fuel filters.
If anyone wants in send me a pm.

FS1000 work out about £10 each

FF105D (same fitting as FS1000) £5 each
filter is not as good, its cellulose paper , has a metal drain screw for draining water so compliant with BSS too.
Rated as 15 micron (79% @ 10 micron, 96% @ 20 micron)
Buna seals (suitable for biodiesel)

FF105 are not in the same class as FS1000 but are good as a standby , or pre filter as long as you have decent engine filters.

FS1000 is good as pre filter and exceeds majority of engine filters being tested as 98.7% @ 10 microns. stratpore media which removes water including emulsified water.

Not available yet should be here in 10 days, there is time to add to the order.
VAT paid
Postage at cost (£2.50 each ish I think)
or pick up Portsmouth/Grimsby

You have me concerned at what I have said or how it has come across .

FS1000 take some beating.
suitable for primary and secondary filters.

primary as they are so big and the design allows it to hold wads of muck.

engine filters as they are a true 10 micron filter and tested @ 99%

they also take out emulsified water.

FF105 are good but not in the same league as FS1000

They are good as a primary , they will remove free water.

They are tested so micron rating not just guess work.

They are not effective against emulsified water, you either need an older style engine happy running with some water content or a good quality engine filter designed to remove the emulsified water.

FS1000 are about £30 each.

I have been running on them with FF105d as back up in case the FS1000 get blocked.

The FS1000 @ £10 are a great price.
FF105d are also cheap @ £5
( 9 left, @ £30)

I dont want them as I am using FS1000 and @ £10 I dont mind carrying half dozen as onboard spares.

FS1212 also available, not sure how much he wants for those.

The only thing cav had going for it was cheap as chips but now FS1000 are going for around £10 inc VAT its a non brainer :)

Hate to burst your bubble a little bit but http://www.partsandfilters.co.uk/fleetguard-ff105-fuel-filter-cummins-p-944.html have FF 105 at £5.68 (not sure if that includes VAT?) and FS1000 for £16.01. I was thinking of trying the FS1006 as a massive water separator?

VAT and delivery is on top of those prices but agreed they are a great price,
main point being there is no excuse for using pre war technology cav / separ anymore.

Quality products are affordably available, the filter holders cost peanuts so upgrading is cheap and easy. :)

I think all the cheap FS1000 s have gone(waiting for confirmation on the last two).

FF105d still available.

All filter orders have now gone out, if anyone hasnt received theirs yet please let me know.

a few FF105d are still available.
FS1000 all gone.
